It took some time, but I have finally completed the violoncello piccolo based on the J.C. Hoffmann model.

I believe I have also been able to present one possibility regarding the hole next to the end button, which has long been a mystery.

This second button next to the end button was shaped under the following conditions:

• The second end button is fixed and not something that is frequently attached and removed(Based on our resarch in Leipzig)
• Its shape is consistent with descriptions in ancient texts from Mattheson and Walter to Leopold Mozart
• It is easy to attach and detach from both the instrument and the body during actual performance and is adjustable
• Most importantly, it does not interfere with the sound and makes playing even easier.

時間がかかりましたが、多くの方々の協力を得て、ようやくJ.C.Hoffmannの復元モデルによるチェロ・ピッコロ(ヴィオロンチェロ・ダ・スパッラ)が完成しました。

長い間謎とされてきたエンドボタン脇の穴についても、一つの可能性を提示できたと思います。
このエンドボタン脇のもう一つのボタンは、次のような条件の元で形づくりました。

・ライプツィヒで行った楽器への直接調査に基づき、２つ目のエンドボタンは固定式のものとし、付けたり外したり頻繁にするものではないこと
・マッテゾンやワルターからレオポルト ・モーツァルトに至るまでの古文献の記述と符合する形であること
・実際の演奏に際し、楽器と身体それぞれの着脱が容易でかつ調整可能であること
・何より音を妨げず、演奏が一層容易になること
