Takumi TAKAKURA

Maker of Bowed String Instruments, Violin Making School Teacher

Born in Tokyo, 1972.

Hi had studied violin making under the guidance of Maestro Renato Scrollavezza in Parma, then moved to Milan to study with Maestro Luca Primon.

He learned also the varnishing and instruments set up with Maestro Marco Imer Piccinotti in San Polo Denza.

For the research and study on old and baroque instruments he did apprenticeship in the workshop of Mestro Carlo Chiesa in Milan.

Since 2005 he has taught in Violin Making School in Tokyo city and Saitama prefecture.

His instruments have not only the taste of modern Milanese maker but also have many wits of ancient master which he have learned through study and research.

From Maestro Dmitry Badiarov he has learned the vilolin design based on historical documents and making of Violoncello da Spalla.

Now he makes Violoncello da Spalla and other instruments on his own design.

In 2019 he open his private school ‘Takumi Violin Making School’ at Saitama prefecture, Japan.

弦楽器製作家・講師

髙倉 匠(たかくら たくみ)

1972 年生まれ、東京都出身。

幼少期をベルギーとドイツで過ごす。

弦楽器製作をイタリア・パルマ のRenato Scrollavezza に学び、その後にトレント(北イタリア)の製作家で当時ミラノで教鞭をとっていたLuca Primon から楽器製作の基礎とコンセプトを教わる。

Marco Imer Piccinotti からはセットアップと塗装を学び、現在まで親交を続けている。

調査研究においては、ミラノの研究家・ヴィオラ・ダ・ガンバ製作家Carlo Chiesa より、見習い時代からの多くの助力を得てきた。

また10年来の交友があるオランダ在住の古楽器製作家のDmitry Badiarov からは楽器デザインを学び、シギスヴァルト・クイケン、寺神戸亮、セルゲイ・マロフなどが使用する彼のモデルとなるヴィオロンチェロ・ダ・スパッラ(肩掛け小型チェロ)の製作も手掛けている。

2005年からは日本に帰国し、島村楽器㈱の運営した職業専門校（旧代官山音楽院）にて、弦楽器部門の責任者として13年に渡り教鞭をとってきた。

2019年3月に島村楽器を退職し、独立。

製作する楽器はモダン・ミラネーゼのスタイルを引き継ぎながらも、古楽器・技術研究からくる要素を取り込んでいる。それは特に古い楽器のコピーをせずに、昔日の製作家のように、ハーモニカル・プロポーションに基づいた楽器作りをする姿勢に現れている。
